"Glory, glory to Våndävana forest, the place dearer to Lord Kåñëa than the transcendental realm of Vaikuëöha, the place where Lord Kåñëa eternally protects the surabhi cows, and where, sweetly playing the flute, He arouses the pure love of the gopés in the arena of the räsa dance."

- jayati taraëi-putré dharma-räja-svasä yä
- kalayati mathuräyäù säkhyam atyeti gaìgäm
- murahara-dayitä tat-päda-padma-prasütaà
- vahati ca makarandaà néra-püra-cchalena
"Glory to the Yamunä River, which is the daughter of the sun-god, the sister of Yamaräja, the friend of Mathurä, superior to the Ganges, and very dear to Lord Kåñëa, and which flows with what seems to be water but is actually the nectar of the lotus flower of Lord Kåñëa's feet."

"Glory to Govardhana Hill, the king of mountains, the hill the gopés declared was the best servant of Lord Hari, the hill personally worshiped by Lord Kåñëa when He stopped the indra-yajïa, the hill that for seven days rested on Lord Kåñëa's lotus hand."

- nikhila-nigama-tattvaà güòham äjïäya muktiù
- bhajati çaraëa-kamkä vaiñëavais tyajyamänä
- tapa-yajana-tapasya-nyäsa-niñöhäà vihäya
"Glory, glory to devotional service in pure love for Kåñëa. Rejected by the devotees, finally understanding the confidential secret of all Vedic knowledge, and abandoning all trust in mantra-chanting, Vedic sacrifices, and severe austerity, liberation now worships the feet of devotional service. Liberation now yearns to take shelter of the feet of devotion."

- viramita-nija-dharma-dhyäna-püjädi-yatnam
- katham api sakåd ättaà muktidaà präëinäà yat
- paramam amåtam ekaà jévanaà bhüñaëaà me
"All glories, all glories, to the all-blissful holy name of Çré Kåñëa, which causes the devotee to give up all conventional religious duties, meditation, and worship. When somehow or other uttered even once by a living entity, the holy name awards him liberation. The holy name of Kåñëa is the highest nectar. It is my very life and my only treasure."

"O Lord Kåñëa, O object of love of Upananda, because You desired to enjoy the transcendental mellows only experienced in Våndävana, You travelled there, riding on a cart as the gopés sang about Your glorious pastimes."

- våndävana-priya ñrémad-
- våndävana-vibhüñaëa
"O Lord Kåñëa, O moon of Våndävana, O ornament of beautiful Våndävana, You are very fond of the land of Våndävana. Residence in Your Våndävana greatly pleases the hearts (of Your devotees)."

"O Lord Kåñëa, Your childish attempt to speak was very charming and enchanting, and Your transcendental pastimes caused the residents of Vraja to become jubilant. You would wander here and there in the company of Your friends, the young protectors of the calves, although You would not go very far from Your home in Vraja."

"O Lord Kåñëa, accompanied by Lord Balaräma and other cowherd boy friends, You delighted in performing various different pastimes in the gardens of Våndävana. You are very fond of playing Your flute, upon which You produce an amazingly sweet sound."

" O Lord Kåñëa, Your charming and beautiful form bends in three places and the flute to Your lips. You are delighted to shoot (pebbles) with a sling-shot and You are very enthusiastic to play with a ball."
